From the start, every aspect of Alexan CityView was carefully planned to minimize the community’s ecological footprint on our planet. It began with the site itself. A former industrial port and naval yard, The Peninsula at Bayonne Harbor was an ideal choice. Soon, old, rusty steel and broken cement turned into new flowering plants and trees. A green transformation had indeed begun.
Naturally co-existing with its new waterfront setting, Alexan CityView engaged environmentally responsible, state-of-the-art strategies that maximized water and energy efficiency. To ensure its durability and longevity, an integrated team of developers used quality, eco-friendly materials in construction. The project, from initial design to final completion, was inspected and certified by independent third parties, including USGBC and NJ Clean Energy. And now, a new place in Bayonne history is born. Not only is Alexan CityView the first rental apartment community on The Peninsula—it’s the largest LEED-certified community in the entire United States.
